Communication to All
Your oh so lovely Captain has reserved an entire bar for our use for our final night on Risa! You can get the position of it from the attached file. Nice little place, tucked up on the beach and right up against the waterline, full bar with everything you can imagine! I'll be seeing you all around sunset!
[OOC: This thread can run as long as we need it too, far past the 'end' of Risa Saturday night. Feel free to post anywhere, there's no order, who gives a damn about how the thread looks, just HAVE FUN!]

Date: 2009-08-23 05:21 am (UTC)Which was very true. He hated the idea of Spock being out here, alone, even if he wanted to be. If Spock didn't want him around, he'd stay long enough to finish his drink and go, but... well.

Date: 2009-08-23 06:00 am (UTC)pleasantsensation last night of--yes, stopping.Spock spooned another bit of the shake--it wasn't really anything else, with this viscosity--into his mouth. "Are they enjoying themselves?" A small gesture down towards the bar, the crew, assembled across the beach.

Date: 2009-08-23 06:16 am (UTC)He took a long gulp of his drink, needing the burn of it all the way down to his stomach.

Date: 2009-08-23 06:26 am (UTC)He took another spoonful. "You officially enlisted him, then." It was not a question. It was bound to happen, as with any and all people they couldn't return on their ship, except...another stop to that train of thought, too.

Date: 2009-08-23 06:42 am (UTC)"My plan is for him, and George, to take the same technology classes... you know those ones from the academy for out-worlders and stuff? And I'll get a bunch of the basic stuff and have Harold go through them so he can pick a real track for himself."

Date: 2009-08-23 04:29 pm (UTC)Then, after a moment and another spoonful, "...Jim. Are you certain this is a drink, and not a dessert?" What he really wanted to ask was why Jim wanted to intoxicate him, but he wasn't so sure that wouldn't spiral off into innuendos and sexual passes and, most of all, bringing up his forced voyeurism.

Date: 2009-08-23 05:36 pm (UTC)He leaned back in the seat he had taken up. "I don't know about Vulcans, but humans definitely have a long history of hanging out with their friends over drinks." He tried to keep it light, but he was curious how Spock would react to that statement. Friends.

Date: 2009-08-24 03:37 am (UTC)But there was something to be said about being unable to look at certain people without imagining them nude, in various positions, or worse: having that associated itself with something he actually wanted to think about. That was ultimately the reason he was still drinking this shake and becoming intoxicated: so he could spare himself, for at least an evening, the lightning-bolt organization of his mind that juxtaposed 'his counterpart doing obscene things with the Doctor' and 'things he was planning to treat Nyota to.'
Spock took another spoonful.
"Yet I also believe she would like to enjoy the evening with the crew, at least for enough time to become acquainted with everyone present."

Date: 2009-08-24 12:45 pm (UTC)Yea, that would make sense, "Less people'll be around so you won't have to deal with so many, and I think she'd be happy if you at least came around to the party, even if briefly... even happier to walk home with you."

Date: 2009-08-24 03:33 pm (UTC)Not many people would put up with Spock and his oddities otherwise, Kirk was fairly sure.

Date: 2009-08-24 08:48 pm (UTC)"Well, thanks, I think." Kirk offered a sort of lazy grin in return, "So what had you here," A gesture to the nightclub behind them, "If you didn't want to be with everyone," A point down the way where the crew's party was happening, "There?"

Date: 2009-08-25 06:45 pm (UTC)Kirk eyed Spock in silence. Bullshit, he said in his mind. There was something more, something Spock isn't telling him, but it probably isn't his place to ask. "Guess so." He said in a tone that called bullshit without saying it.

Date: 2009-08-25 08:34 pm (UTC)It was one of the very few times he realized that what he had told another Spock all together was true. Intuition.
