Communication to All
Your oh so lovely Captain has reserved an entire bar for our use for our final night on Risa! You can get the position of it from the attached file. Nice little place, tucked up on the beach and right up against the waterline, full bar with everything you can imagine! I'll be seeing you all around sunset!
[OOC: This thread can run as long as we need it too, far past the 'end' of Risa Saturday night. Feel free to post anywhere, there's no order, who gives a damn about how the thread looks, just HAVE FUN!]

Date: 2009-08-29 02:31 am (UTC)"I mean.." His words left him, as they rarely did. ...wanna feel how it does with him. The meld.

Date: 2009-08-29 02:49 am (UTC)"If you wanted to--perhaps we should do so in a safer location?" His other hand gestured to the vertical drop around them.

Date: 2009-08-29 03:47 am (UTC)He took a breath, then gestured, "...all yours." He held up his fingers in a bad rendition of a familiar pattern. "Face me."

Date: 2009-08-29 04:10 am (UTC)"This may feel uncomfortable at first," He said as he did this, though didn't sound very apologetic. "Though you have adequate hands, and they should span between the meld points without trouble."

Date: 2009-08-29 04:15 am (UTC)"So what exactly are the meld points?" He questioned, looking to Spock's face as if trying to see the invisible points.

Date: 2009-08-29 04:57 am (UTC)The hand now in its proper position, or near enough for their purposes, Spock brought it to touch his face, his eyes locked with Jim's while he did so. Then he brought his own hand up to Jim's face, his fingers smoothly finding and pressing into the meld points with ease. The electricity already tingled beneath his fingers before he uttered the ritual phrase,
"Wanimo kae k'yanimo kae." Vulcan. As if the experience couldn't be anymore foreign to Jim without him using it.
His mind was, unsurprisingly, not too different from that of his counterpart's. Corridors and doors that all looked the same and curved off into the distance, vaulted ceilings and dark stone walls. Yet, here, in this meld, Spock was not hidden in the recesses of his mind, but standing right there next to Jim in this wide hallway.
The image of him flickered between several uniforms, something with a grey-white long-sleeved shirt, the black uniform he wore at the Academy, the blue-black uniform he wore on the ship...and then settled on the all-black, the collar done up properly, the fabric pressed and ready for the day of dealing with cadets and bureaucracy. Spock looked down at himself, pulling at the top jacket slightly. "Still." There was some mild disappointment, either in his voice or radiating from the world around them.

Date: 2009-08-29 05:08 am (UTC)Then those words. Then, the rush.
That rush was something he was starting to get used to in a weird sort of way. Falling simultaneously away from and into his body, then appearing somewhere. At least this was somewhat familiar.
Like Spock, Kirk appeared in very different clothing. It was an odd mixture that somehow looked right on him like it would on no one else. Jeans, the gold-over-black of the captain's uniform, and a leather jacket. Kirk blinked slowly, looking to Spock, and swallowed. Shit, that black looked good on the Vulcan. Instructors uniform?

Date: 2009-08-29 08:08 pm (UTC)Of course he didn't glance out of the corner of his eye at Spock in that well fitted surprisingly tight instructor's uniform. Nope, not at all.

Date: 2009-08-29 08:43 pm (UTC)The doors they walked by were all labeled, sometimes with several names that went down the length of the door and--if one stared hard enough at it--these also tended to change.

Date: 2009-08-29 10:55 pm (UTC)Honestly, I don't know. I've had this jacket since I got h... since I turned fifteen or so. It was huge on me, won it from some biker fuck. Its in my closet right now on the ship.

Date: 2009-08-29 11:35 pm (UTC)They came to a large door, impossible to move in a place with any real physics but easily shouldered open by Spock. The hall was somewhat familiar, though strangely easily accessed--it carried his sky, or rather, the piece of the sky that he had received from his counterpart. It's smaller, denser, and less clear than the original that Jim's seen, though on the edges of it there are those that are...true stars, straight from him to the people who were their origins. They were easy to define, bright and large points of light, apart from the substitute that took up most of the darkness above them.
See, Jim. I am not alone.
