[HALLOWEEN PARTY!] -- [Open to ALL PLAYERS!] -- [IC Event!]

It had gone out as an announcement over a month ago, sent to every padd and station by one very excited Captain. A Halloween party! Must come in costume, must have fun!

Despite the hell that had been going on for the last few days, Kirk was determined that it still would happen. After a long discussion with the ship's quartermaster, along with a small army of crewmen who wanted to help, the largest rec room was decorated.

A huge buffet table had been prepared by the galley and sat spread out, all in Halloween theme. Green punch with floating eyeballs, cake decorated to look like a gravestone, a huge bowl of candy, a holographic severed hand that was scurrying around on the table top. There was even a bar set up with quite an expanse of liquor that had been secured on Risa.

There was a small seating area off to one corner, a huge dance floor, tables spread out for a real meal, and a small corner set up for music.

(OOC: Just like the thread with Risa... this is a party that's 'open' from now until Sunday night at midnight! Go nuts! This IS supposed to be IC, like the Risa party, so keep that in mind!)

After he'd spoken to Ephram, Leonard ambled over to where Bill was talking to a woman he hadn't met so far, and who was dressed as...

"Wonder woman!" he exclaimed delightedly, dropping the accent and characterization without a second thought. Russian spies did not approve of American cultural icons. "I've always wanted to meet you," he explained enthusiastically, then drew her hand to his lips for a kiss.

Em smiled. "Well aren't you the charmer as well?" The hand kiss made her smile falter a bit. David used to kiss my hand like that. No. Brightening her smile again. "And who might you be?"

He caught the brief moment that she faltered. Damn, hit a nerve accidentally. Better distract her from whatever he'd reminded her of.

"A Russian spy never reveals his true identity," this time the rs were rolled deliberately over the top, although he kept his face perfectly straight.

She laughed at his heinous accent and her hand want to the folded up chord by her side. "Ah, but I'm Wonder Woman. I have my lasso of truth. And it'll make you talk, comrade."

"I shall tell you a secret then, shall I? This," he waved the replica cigarette in a dramatic circle, "is not truly a cigarette, although I can smoke it," he took a drag of water-vapour and exhaled showily. "The agents of the Revolution are not so easy to defeat for American heroes."

"Is that so?" She unfolded said "golden lasso" and threw the loop over him. "Tell me your name and plans." Em couldn't keep the smile off her face. "And I might just let you go."

"Or you will do what?" Leonard asked silkily.

Damn, but he'd really missed acting, hadn't he?

Em's brow furrowed. Oh damn, what was it that Dad's comic books said? "Or...I'll use my Amazon knowledge to beat it out of you!" Wait, was that even right? She quirked a brow. "Then again, I could just keep you on my lasso all night."

Leonard raised an implacable eyebrow. "And what makes you think I would mind that?"

He was laughing hysterically inside, really, although his words certainly held a hint of truth in them.

Em nearly doubled over in laughter. "Oh I think you might mind quite a bit. Wouldn't your superiors miss you?" She gave the lasso a light tug. "Now what's your name, comrade?"

"Who says I have superiors?" And then, lowering his voice deliberately, accent smoothing out a little, "Are you sure you know what to do with that lasso?"

She reminded him a bit of Susan, to be perfectly honest.

"Oh? A rogue agent, then?" she smirked. "And yes, I've spent some time around country folk so...I would know how to use a lasso. Can't guarantee on the hogtie though." Em chuckled.

"So long as you know how to make it snap..." Another lift of his eyebrow, slightly more... pointed.

And with a slight curve to his lips.

She gave him a look. "Who are you really? You look an awful lot like the acting captain." She looked at him warily. "If I didn't know better, I'd say you were funnin' with me, sir."

He laughed. "Leonard Nimoy," he said, dropping the accent and smiling warmly. "I'm one of the displaced actors - the ones that played the other Kirk, Spock and McCoy in an alternate universe. And you are?"

Em gave a chuckle. "Of course, an alternative universe! Why not?" She gave the lasso another tug. "When I'm not Wonder Woman? I'm Dr. Emma McCoy. Just Em or Emma is fine. Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Nimoy."

"Likewise. Any relation to the ships surgeon, perchance?" Leonard glanced down at where the lasso was still looped around his neck. "I really wasn't joking when I said I wouldn't mind you keeping that there all night, you know," he added in the same conversational tone.

He wasn't clear himself whether it was more intended as a warning or not. Hell, she was dressed as Wonder Woman. He could hardly be blamed for the associations that were hardwired into his brain.

She grinned. "Yes, he's my son. Though apparently, there's two of them running around. I assure you, I only popped out one. He's the ship's chief medical officer, you know." Em looked up at him. She was wrong about Ephram's flirting but..."Mr. Nimoy...are you trying to imply something? And remember, you can only speak the truth."

"My friend played the other Bones," Leonard said by way of explanation. He grinned a little at her question. "Don't tempt me," he teased back, not without a note of seriousness, "I happen to have a bit of a thing for female superheroes. Especially when they have whips wrapped around my neck."

"And I'm guessing your other friend played the other Jim Kirk." She shook her head. "And I believe you're being misled. That thing is due to these star spangled...hell, I'll call 'em panties. I don't think they qualify as shorts." She moved up to take the loop off his neck. Maybe he was flirting? But aren't all actors flirts?

"Yes, that'd be Bill, and friend doesn't even begin to describe him." Leonard felt a little disappointed as she unlooped the whip, but he wasn't going to push it, although he felt it necessary to clarify one fact. "And trust me, it really isn't about the panties, nice as they are." He smiled a little sheepishly. "I'm sorry, I'm not usually this forward. Blame it on the fact that I've been missing my wife and the whip reminds me of her?"

It was said jokingly, but actually not all that far removed from the truth.

Em chuckled. "It's all right. The hand kiss earlier reminded me of my husband." Another pang in her heart. No. For Lenny. "And no need for apologies. If you miss your wife, yuo miss your wife. I think it's cute that you still think of her even though you're...dimensions away."

"You haven't been here long, have you? Can't recall seeing you around." Leonard smiled. "And hey, we still have hopes of somehow getting back to 2009 someday - I mean, we got here in a sentient car, so..."

[OOC - Female superheroes were what first made Len question his sexuality in terms of BDSM. He really just has a thing for strong women. ;)]

"I just arrived about a week ago." She choked. "Did you say 2009?" She looked around. "This must be shocking for you! 200 some odd years into the future?! And here I thought I was lost by being just 13 years out of place."

Leonard nodded. "Perhaps a little less so because we are actually aware of this time-period, even if we thought it was fictional. Then again, we did also get physially deaged in the process, which was more than a little weird at first." He flashed a brilliant smile at Emma. "Wouldn't you say I'm in pretty decent shape for a seventy-eight year old man?"
