Things had gone... interestingly the night of the party. The small memory put a smile to Kirk's face, despite his complete boredom and annoyance at still being trapped in his room. He could leave, he could walk around, but there was nothing he could do. Damn CMO's orders.
Even if, you know, he was sleeping with said CMO.
There was still a lot to be done, and damn if he was just going to sit back while it happened. Which had led him to sitting on his bed, naked from the waist up, leaning over a padd as he tried to figure out the exact time not one but two people had evidently gone missing from his god damn ship.
And getting no where fast expect to a headache.

It chimed as he stood outside.

There was a lot to catch up on, business and personal, as it were, and Jim didn't want to wait any longer.

He walked over to the comm and thumbed the button, "Who is it?"

From:intra-ship communication: CMO McCoy to Captain Kirk
Date: 2009-11-05 03:49 am (UTC)Figured you were getting pretty bored, so I thought I'd give you something to do. Look under the bed.
I'll be home a little late from shift, been running late all day.

Found inside a large leather case, (http://icon.bahblog.net/files/2008/03/acoustic_guitar_000_4.jpg) with a note attached "For Jim, just because..."
Re: intra-ship communication: CMO McCoy to Captain Kirk
Date: 2009-11-08 12:26 am (UTC)He pulled the guitar out and set it into his lap, carefully tuning the guitar. He could feel the tension in the fingers of his left hand, along with the ache that was already starting to beat. He ignored it, for now, and within minutes, gave it a strum.
It filled the room with music he hadn't heard in a long time.

Date: 2009-11-06 05:39 pm (UTC)So he'd been wandering the corridors around the Captain's quarters for a while, watching people come and go - though Captain Kirk was on sick leave, his duties never seemed to cease. Now, he was tolerably sure Jim was alone.
He took a deep breath and pressed the door chime.

From:Private to Captain James T. Kirk
Date: 2009-11-09 08:30 pm (UTC)I regret that our initial meeting was so confused and ill-timed. I would like to extend my wishes for a quick recovery, and the hope that we will meet again soon under better circumstances.
Lt. James T. Kirk
