[Captain's in Office] -- [Open to All]
Jan. 18th, 2010 12:31 pm(OOC: Note! This is an open post for anyone who needs Kirk in any way, shape, or form right now, so just drop on by even though its starting off with Kirk and Spock!!)
After the night with Bones, to say James T. Kirk felt like shit was an understatement. He felt hurt, and angry, and confused, and all over the place all at once. It made for... well, not the greatest beginning for an alpha shift on the bridge.
He was slumped in his office. Sleep hadn't come easy, and he hadn't stayed that way much at all. This morning had even required coffee. Shit, he hadn't been forced to drink coffee to stay awake in months.
And now he had a meeting with Spock. Great. He was pretty sure there was something else ... someone else... he had a meeting about today too but couldn't force himself to remember yet.

Date: 2010-01-18 05:40 pm (UTC)The door hissed open and Spock stepped in. "Captain." He noted the cup of coffee on the desk, Jim's (lack of) posture, but said nothing more as he took his usual seat before the desk.

From:Starfleet message to Capt. Kirk
Date: 2010-01-18 06:35 pm (UTC)Re: Starfleet message to Capt. Kirk
Date: 2010-01-18 06:59 pm (UTC)It was that last part that bothered him. A lot.
Like hell he's getting full access to my medical records. Bones' eyes only.
Kirk pulled up a screen on his console, and started typing.
Bones, see the attached message. Full medical records, that's your area. Gonna see what information I can find out about this guy.
Private message to Jim
Date: 2010-01-18 07:11 pm (UTC)No one sees your records, Captain. They're locked down tight, your clearance and mine. Besides, I think I can limit him to the new folks, no need for the others. That's my stand, anyway.
I heard of him, he's a suit, doesn't practice much medicine but write a lot of books. I think Tina worked with him once.
Private message to Bones
Date: 2010-01-18 07:13 pm (UTC)...and... thanks.

Date: 2010-01-18 08:26 pm (UTC)She'd sent a message a few days earlier, setting up a meeting - she only hoped he remembered, and that nothing more urgent had come up in the meantime. Helen approached the door to Kirk's office and pressed the buzzer.

Date: 2010-01-18 08:35 pm (UTC)When the woman entered, it shocked him that he had no idea who this was. He knew all the faces of people on his ship (even if he had trouble with names, sometimes...) and to see someone he didn't know was a surprise. "Hello Ms...?"

Date: 2010-01-18 09:55 pm (UTC)He was young, she thought, looking at him. She knew his birthdate as well as everyone else in Starfleet, of course. But the history text hadn't mentioned how blue his eyes were.
She wondered how well he was handling all the pressure. How well anyone could, let alone someone with so little command experience.

Captain,
There's a new displaced person on the ship. I've got him settled in my room and know who he is. He's got no weapons and isn't a threat. I'm just sending a message to let you know of his presence.

Re: private message
Date: 2010-01-18 09:33 pm (UTC)That isn't how this works. I need a name and more information. He needs to be brought to sickbay to be checked for anything, and I need to meet him. Bring him up to my office immediately.
Captain Kirk
Re: private message
Date: 2010-01-18 09:39 pm (UTC)I'll bring him up as soon as possible.

She looked over at David. "Captain wants to meet you. He's a nice young man, if not a bit jumpy." She got dressed and replicated some clothes for him.

"Lead the way, darlin'."
