[HALLOWEEN PARTY!] -- [Open to ALL PLAYERS!] -- [IC Event!]

It had gone out as an announcement over a month ago, sent to every padd and station by one very excited Captain. A Halloween party! Must come in costume, must have fun!

Despite the hell that had been going on for the last few days, Kirk was determined that it still would happen. After a long discussion with the ship's quartermaster, along with a small army of crewmen who wanted to help, the largest rec room was decorated.

A huge buffet table had been prepared by the galley and sat spread out, all in Halloween theme. Green punch with floating eyeballs, cake decorated to look like a gravestone, a huge bowl of candy, a holographic severed hand that was scurrying around on the table top. There was even a bar set up with quite an expanse of liquor that had been secured on Risa.

There was a small seating area off to one corner, a huge dance floor, tables spread out for a real meal, and a small corner set up for music.

(OOC: Just like the thread with Risa... this is a party that's 'open' from now until Sunday night at midnight! Go nuts! This IS supposed to be IC, like the Risa party, so keep that in mind!)

Jim immediately adopted something approximating Bill's best puppy-dog look.

"I'm sorry, De," he said, and his voice, at least, was sincere. "We would have told you."

He hoped he hadn't been too damaging to poor De's psyche--the temptation had been too great.

"To be fair," Bill reasoned, his voice lightening audibly to something more its normal timbre, "I did think you'd work it out in about two seconds flat. We're obviously way more subtle than I gave us credit for."

"We're all aware that you can act, although Jim does deserve some credit. Except for how he really doesn't kiss like you."

There was a lilt to Leonard's words, the way he rolled his rs that wasn't his usual intonation. He'd be the first to admit that his attempt at a Russian accent was pretty dire, but hey, it was Halloween and in spite of what Bill and Jim had been up to, it wasn't exactly known as a time for subtlety.

At the very least, he had no doubt, it would make Bill smile.

Bill snorted into laughter. "Oh, doesn't he?" He stepped up close to Leonard, exaggerating the Kirkian swagger and enjoying his extra height. Even if he was still, dammit, half a head shorter than Leonard. "And how does Mr Russian Spy kiss, I wonder?" He paused. " - or are you supposed to be Scottish?"

De rolled his eyes at the two of them, and went back to staring into his drink.

"Look, I know it isn't the most convincing Russian accent in the world, but it's even less Scottish."

Leonard blew a plume of vapour into Bill's face. "And at this rate, you aren't going to find out."

Bill coughed pointedly. "Well, the only Scot I ever knew was Jimmy Doohan. Who was Irish-Canadian. So..." He stepped back out of the circle of cigarette smoke. "I think you should go and Spy on that Starfleet intelligence person. He looks like he needs unnerving."

"He wasn't unnerved by my meeting him the first time," he pointed out drily. "Though you and Jim could probably do quite well on that front, I think."

"You weren't a spy then, though," Bill pointed out. He grinned. "I bet he would be flustered out by me and Jim double-teaming him, though." He smirked at Leonard. "What do you think?"

"He absolutely would be," Leonard agreed. "Hence why you should probably do so."

Bill grinned. "In that case, I think I'll wander over. He seems to be talking to that girl in the Wonder Woman outfit, just at the moment. Not that I blame him." He reached up to kiss Leonard briefly on the mouth, with an apologetic glance at De. "I'm going to go and be Jim at him, I think. You see what havok you can wreak with your spying thing." He paused. "Which is hot, by the way."

With a parting wave at Jim and De, he slipped off to see how his Jim impression would go over.
