(OOC: This is meant to be the Enterprise making planet side on Risa, so feel free to post here, do your own post, whatever you decide!)
"Welcome to the Risa Space Dock. We hope you enjoy your stay."
More welcomed words Jim hadn't heard in a good, long while. Had it only been a year since the Enterprise limped to this very same space dock after taking damage from the Klingons? It seemed like a lifetime ago he had seen the planet on the forward view screen, and with only a glance around the bridge, it seemed most of his crew was thinking the same thing. He gave an easy smile, knowing that on the planet below was the home he shared with Bones, the chance for everyone to spend their holidays not worrying about space and enemies and crazy things happening, and some time to just be himself instead of Captain.
So much had changed in a year. Jim was pretty sure he would never take any of it back. Well, maybe some of it.
He would be one of the last to leave the ship, so he took no effort to get up immediately. "You're all dismissed once you've shut your stations down. Enjoy your holidays." He leaned back in his chair, giving a smile and a goodbye to each person who did the same. Even if he wasn't the biggest fan of them, he knew his crew loved this time of year. It was a chance to think of family, friends, life.
Jim planned on a lot of riding, eating, swimming, sunning, camping, and sex. It seemed like the perfect vacation to him. Also, the idea of everyone getting together at some point... didn't hold the fear he felt for it last year. Maybe... he could manage it. He also wanted to see if he could get an extra special guest to be brought to Risa for Bones, but it would be tricky managing it. He'd sure as hell try, though.

Date: 2010-11-25 02:07 pm (UTC)Nope. No tease in his voice. Not at all. He wondered if Bones would even take him up on it or would want to wait until they were down below.

Date: 2010-11-26 03:53 pm (UTC)He tugged lightly, pulling Bones down into his lap so for now they could both see the screen. "...Home, I guess?" Questioning because he wasn't truly sure. Home was this ship, their home was down on the planet, or was it Earth because that was where they came from? ..Hell, home was right there in his arms, but Jim was learning there was more than one type of home.

Date: 2010-11-26 04:12 pm (UTC)He could see the damned sybarite planet floating below then, and right now, Bones hadn't ever seen anything prettier. "What do you want to do first when we get down there?"

Date: 2010-11-26 04:25 pm (UTC)"Mm... make sure the people I hired to keep the place neat did their job, then it's a tie between have a beer and lay out on the beach and reacquainting myself with you and the bed."

Date: 2010-11-26 04:43 pm (UTC)Kissing the smile off of Jim left him breathless. "Those are two very good ideas, captain," Bones told him, lips dragging along Jim's jawline. "Gonna have a lot of time for both those things, I hope... and some camping," he added with a little smile of his own.
Their own Christmas tradition - it made him grin to think about their future, how they would continue it as long as they could find a place to pitch their tent.

Date: 2010-11-26 04:53 pm (UTC)Seeing Bones blush was pretty rare, and Jim couldn't help his huge grin at the sight of it.

Date: 2010-11-26 05:15 pm (UTC)"I sure like it when you smile," Bones told him, pulling his head back to drop a little kiss on Jim's lips, then pressing their foreheads together. "You doing good?" he asked, looking at Jim carefully. Things had been so hectic lately, with getting everything and everyone prepared for shore leave, they'd missed their early mornings and late night conversations, the only time that was set aside for them.

Date: 2010-11-26 05:39 pm (UTC)"Seems like last year there was more to worry about, with all the new people on board, everyone wanting us to celebrate." It had been weird, his mother on board, planning parties with George. "But for some reason, though no one has really brought it up, I feel really strange about it all."

Date: 2010-11-26 05:42 pm (UTC)"...Christmas. We'll have each other, that's enough for me." Jim smiled, brushing his fingertips through Bones' fingers.

Date: 2010-11-26 06:12 pm (UTC)Maybe one day... "Then we agree, no presents for each other?" he asked, playfully arching a brow. Jim was a sneaky son of a bitch, and Bones needed some reassurance that he wasn't going to be left empty-handed again this year, no gift for Jim.

Date: 2010-11-26 07:21 pm (UTC)"All I want to open up Christmas morning is some warm biscuits over a campfire, and this..." Bones let his fingers dangle low, slipping under Jim's waistband as their eyes met. "I think this could be the best trip ever, you know?"
He couldn't explain why he felt so optimistic about their shore leave, he just did.

Date: 2010-11-26 07:25 pm (UTC)He nuzzled softly at Bones' neck, turning him around slightly so Bones' legs ended up on either side of him.

Date: 2010-11-26 08:12 pm (UTC)Camping... Jim had taught him about camping. Jim, for being as young as he was, had taught Bones a lot of things, about love and sex and relationships and what it meant to really trust someone.
And how to come to love and enjoy something as god-awful as camping. "No, Jim," he whispered in his ear, his knees settling against Jim's hips. He could feel just how 'interested' Jim was getting... felt so good, their erections rubbing against each other, made him want to bend him over the chair and take him right now. "I'm gonna make you wait until we get down there before I pull these off, and suck your cock."
Make them both wait, but fuck if he was going to let Jim see how badly he wanted it right now, too (as if it wasn't completely written all over his face and tenting his pants).

Date: 2010-11-26 09:00 pm (UTC)He let out a breath and let his own head fall back, staring into those dark eyes. "How do you still do that to me?"

Date: 2010-11-27 12:24 am (UTC)Sometimes it was too much, that look. Made his heart hurt to look at Jim, staring back at him like that, heart in his eyes. So there was a playful smile on his lips when he spoke next, his voice low and his heart beating fast as he tried to lighten the mood. "I think its 'cause you love me." Words he could have never imagined saying last year, though he knew it, felt it.
