[Captain's Office] -- [Open Post]

There was a lot going on on his ship, and it was happening faster than he could keep up sometimes. He thanked everything for Spock as his First Officer because otherwise he would have had a backup of paperwork and a million other details he just couldn't deal with on top of everything else.

He knew there was someone new on the ship - the Sulu from Pasha's universe. He hoped this would be easy... specially since their own Sulu had gone missing. That still pissed him off, upset him. Sulu had been one of the best navigators he had ever seen, and the way he and Pavel had worked together... fuck.

He needed to talk to Scotty something fierce about the transporter. He couldn't figure out what happened that the four had ended up on the ship as women, but something had happened.

Scotty quietly entered the Captain's Office, despite his slight fuming. His mother raised him to be a proper Scotsman, and proper Scotsmen didn't throw wobblies.

"You wanted to see me, sir?"

Kirk looked to Scotty, holding up his hands, "I didn't do anything to it, I swear. I just transported two sets of people to two places and... um..." He gave a weak grin. Shit.

Scotty would have quirked an eyebrow, but he was genetically incapable of doing it properly. He settled for glaring. He had a good glare.

"What did you do?"

...Eep. Kirk swallowed, "All I did was get two people in the brig and two into a conference room. They got there in one piece..."

Erm. "They're just... all four of them are... girls."

"And why is that a bad thing?" Scotty was not amused. "Weren't they women to start?"

"...Um, not one of them was female to begin with?"

...Oh. That changed things. Scotty visibly exhaled, trying to calm down to get ready to fix this.

"Right. I assume you followed proper procedure because you're not that much of a moron, so uh that's a doozy."

"I did, as fast as I could. I had a very limited window of time to work, but I made sure it was right." Definitely didn't want that glare to come at him again.

...Scotty put his hand on his chin and shifted his eyes skywards for a moment before speaking.

"Hm. I'll get right on that, Capt'n."

"Thank you, Scotty." He bowed his head, grateful. "Anything you can do... I know Spock wants to help. The other universe's Spock."

"Well, it does get awful lonely, digging through the drives looking for the error. I'll take what I can get." Scotty just sighed again, running his hand through his (balding) hair.

"Talk to Spock, the.. middle Spock, the one that came with the other Jim, and he'll help. I don't know if Jim will..." Or if he'll be too busy experiencing that female body of his... He mentally rolled his eyes.

"Jim will? Any idea where I'd find him?"

"... You might not want to bother him just yet. Leave him a comm and see if you can talk to him." He, at least, attempted to be diplomatic about the situation.
