kirktastic: ((Sad Eyes Open) I don't want to tell you)

[Rifts in the Boredom of Forced Sick Leave] -- [Open]

Things had gone... interestingly the night of the party. The small memory put a smile to Kirk's face, despite his complete boredom and annoyance at still being trapped in his room. He could leave, he could walk around, but there was nothing he could do. Damn CMO's orders.

Even if, you know, he was sleeping with said CMO.

There was still a lot to be done, and damn if he was just going to sit back while it happened. Which had led him to sitting on his bed, naked from the waist up, leaning over a padd as he tried to figure out the exact time not one but two people had evidently gone missing from his god damn ship.

And getting no where fast expect to a headache.

It would have been prudent, Jim though, to comm first.

But comming allowed for the possibility that Jim would ignore him, or refuse him, and Jim was tired of sitting around. After Kirk's message back to him--not to mention the party--Jim was fairly confidence Kirk wasn't about to lock the door to him.

It chimed as he stood outside.

Em stood outside of Jim's quarters and took a deep breath. Lenny was right. Moving on was hard but she had to do it. And if he believed she was strong enough, then...She pressed the chime.

Joanna pressed the chime on Jim's quarters, two sandwiches in hand that she'd managed to get before the lunch rush. She knew the replicators could have made almost as good sandwiches but they were only almost as good. Not as good, and she was really just killing time anyway. This ship was so slow, quiet. It was weird. She wasn't entirely sure what to make of it, but at least this way she'd be able to talk to someone who know what was what.

intra-ship communication: CMO McCoy to Captain Kirk

Hey you -

Figured you were getting pretty bored, so I thought I'd give you something to do. Look under the bed.

I'll be home a little late from shift, been running late all day.

Chris had decided to take it upon himself to talk to Jim about what had happened at the party - since George had been MIA ever since and the prospect of Jim and Winnie voluntarily getting together to chat was about as likely as...well, as Jim and Winnie voluntarily getting together to chat.

So he'd been wandering the corridors around the Captain's quarters for a while, watching people come and go - though Captain Kirk was on sick leave, his duties never seemed to cease. Now, he was tolerably sure Jim was alone.

He took a deep breath and pressed the door chime.

Sir,

I regret that our initial meeting was so confused and ill-timed. I would like to extend my wishes for a quick recovery, and the hope that we will meet again soon under better circumstances.
