Your oh so lovely Captain has reserved an entire bar for our use for our final night on Risa! You can get the position of it from the attached file. Nice little place, tucked up on the beach and right up against the waterline, full bar with everything you can imagine! I'll be seeing you all around sunset!


[OOC: This thread can run as long as we need it too, far past the 'end' of Risa Saturday night. Feel free to post anywhere, there's no order, who gives a damn about how the thread looks, just HAVE FUN!]

Shyly, the young boy that she had spoke too earlier on in their shore-leave, noticed her enter and walked up to her. He felt uncomfortable, but wanted to stay close to the crew of the ship that might be able to take him...home-not-home. He recognised Leah as the first person he had spoke to in this place. "Jolan tru," he said, smiling up at her. He was rather short, a good 5'3".

"You are alone here?" He furrowed his brow, and then shook his head absently, hoping she would not take that the wrong way. He'd already been slapped in the face once by a girl who thought he was hitting on her. Sometimes, an overly exuberant and friendly nature could get him into trouble...

"By myself, yes," Leah answered with a smile. She was glad to see D'Tan and wondered how he'd been doing on Risa. "So how have you been?"

OOC - The actress in my icons, Amber Benson, is about 5'4, not so tall either.

D'Tan was glad that his comments weren't taken the wrong way. He still had several misconceptions about Human social interaction. After all, he had about three different cultures now floating around in his head, which were quite confusing! "I have been investigating the forests and life here." He held out his sketchbook. "Mostly rendering them in two dimensional figures. It is a past time of mine."

Leah took the sketchbook from the young Romulan, looking through the pages of Risian plants and animals depicted with care and precision. D'Tan was a gifted artist, if she was any judge. "These are wonderful," she said after a few moments. She wondered just how much time he had actually spent in the outdoors to be able to do something like this.

OOC - Poor D'Tan. I'm sure things are pretty confusing for him right now.

"Nemaiyo," D'Tan replied, utilising the Vulcan term for gratitude, before furrowing his brow and clearing his throat. "Er, -- Thank you. Yes, that is it." He replaced the well-worn book back inside a kitbag that he had slung over his shoulder, that he had found on the side of the road. Along with other interesting things that he had found, including a very unique coloured crystalline rock and a jar with a purple spider inside of it. His hand knocked against it as he put his sketchbook back and he withdrew the container that held the furry animal. He opened the top of the jar and extricated the little menace and allowed it to crawl around on his hand. "What is this?" he asked her. "He was hurt, his abdomen was ripped apart, so I healed him," he said proudly. "I do not know which type of arachnid he is." D'Tan didn't realise that it was almost medically impossible to have healed the creature from the devastating injuries it had inflicted upon it. His abilities were...fascinating, to say the least, but abnormal.

"I'm not really sure what kind it is, either," Leah admitted, eyeing the creature a little warily as it crawled around on D'Tan's hand. At least it wasn't too big... She'd purchased a huge book about the Risian wildlife, and read a little of it, but couldn't place the spider. "You healedhim?" she asked with curiosity. It seemed as if the young Romulan was telling the truth, but it had to be nearly impossible. Or so Leah had thought, looking again at the spider.

OOC - Is Kirktastic aware of this?

"Yes, ma'am!" D'Tan said in response, still proudly examining the creature billowing outward down his wrist and on to his uncovered forearm. "You should pet him, his name is Arhe. He is very friendly." As if to demonstrate, D'Tan ran a fingertip down the top of the spider's abdomen, watching it flinch slightly as though still wary from injury. "Animal minds are frightening but I believe he was attacked and distrusts me." D'Tan looked up at Leah to glance at her fully, and rose his eyebrows. "You seem disturbed. Are you all right?"

|OOC|: Not yet!! There were references to it made non-canonically in books where D'Tan was a continuing member of the minor cast, so I've decided to expand on it and give him a 'back history' sort of thing so that it lends more credibility to the fact that I'm playing a real and possibly useful person.
