Leonard sang the name that he gave, trilled it wet and cool-warm along his neck, almost made him wish he had given the true. But to be known here was dangerous.

He would respect the name he received in return, treat it and its owner as well as he could, to soft new skin and honest joy in sharing it.

"Leonard." Gently against the rise of his throat, holding him close. The name felt good, tasted good.
