It was just as well--this wasn't his ship. He didn't know which of these white panels opened into rooms or storage or, well, the front door was directly behind them, but that was the only one he'd have known for certain without it being pointed out.

He was out of his element, here, but at least recognized being told what to do, reacting before he even thought of it until she asked.

"Welcome." They acknowledged courtesy by greeting each other. Humans were odd like that.

Ayel found the towels without having to prod through her belongings, and brought them out.

They already had ice. Ice water was useful for that. Spared him having to figure out the system. He gathered the ice without incident and smoothed down that evil hitch in the carpet as he moved to the bed with the ice.

Her ankle was narrow, beautiful tapered, reddened where it had slipped off-kilter.

He wrapped it gently. Pressure might make it worse. "Like this?"
