Bones knew something was up when he couldn't find Jim anywhere. A little prodding at the computer told him that he was in a shuttlebay, and he wasn't alone. Fuck - the last time Sam and Jim were in the same room, Sam ended up with cracked ribs and bruises all over.

Heading down to find them, to see what sort of damage had been done - what he found was totally unexpected.

He didn't know what to say. What could he say? The loudest voice in his head screamed 'LEAVE LEAVE NOW' but his legs failed him. His voice failed him. Thoughts failed him.

Rooted to the spot, he simply stared at them.
