Kirk threw a glare at Spock, trying to communicate through that look alone. "Those accusations aren't for me to decide," Kirk said calmly, though his fingers clenched for a moment in his lap, "They're for Starfleet to decide." It wasn't the helping that made Kirk sick to his stomach. If Spock or Bones or any of his crew had been under the threat of death, he would have helped to.

It was Spock himself that Kirk didn't know how to felt about. Spock chose to aid the enemy, whether or not he fully realized it. The Narada had forced herself aboard, had gotten who knew what information from the ship's computers, and now... had dilithium.
