Bones stood and walked the two steps until he was in front of Kirk's chair. Kneeling on one knee, he took Kirk's head in his hands and kissed him.

Pulling back, he looked into Kirk's eyes. "I know," he said, as if their conversation hadn't stopped. "I know you hate this. But it's going well, believe it or not. I think it's been good." And it had been. Kirk's obvious reluctance to elaborate aside, he'd admitted to issues being there, even if they disagreed on how to best deal with those issues.

It was a start.
