But there remained something unsaid, that he would tell Jim later or could assume he inferred it. Spock didn't so much care for his own well-being--Vulcan emotions, those that could be easily affected, could be broken down and built up again with some minor practice. Yet if Jim had the audacity to do something to hurt Nyota knowingly, maliciously...it would take more than a captaincy and a well-armed Doctor to prevent his hands from closing around Jim's throat.

An unfortunate thought at the moment. He much preferred to be doing other things with Jim's throat.
