After slipping out of the party unnoticed, Kirk went down towards the residential area. He passed people in costume, who gave him a wave, and resisted a brief urge to go up towards the bridge and check on his beautiful lady.
First, he had a mission. He got up to Spock's quarters and pressed the buzzer - twice in fact - but got no response. With a little frown, Kirk called out, "My beautiful lady... locate Commander Spock."
"Commander Spock is located in Lt. Uhura's quarters."
Oh?
Kirk grinned a little, then went quickly towards Uhura's quarters. Spock had to be avoiding the party. Quick as he could in his head, Kirk started to think of costumes that he could wiggle an unhappy Vulcan into...
Buzz! Can't hide now, Spock! Kirk grinned as he waited in front of Uhura's door, waiting impatiently.
