[Spending Time Together] -- [Jim and Bones] -- [Risa]
Jim was a beach bum, or at least, he was while he was on Risa. He spend as much time as he could in the sun on the beach, spread out in the sand and nuzzled into a towel or ignoring wet sand against his back from a swim in the ocean. It was like trying to rapidly get as much as possible, soaking it up into his skin so it would last as long as possible when he went back up into space. Even if he couldn't tan properly like he had mentioned to Jana, at least he could get a golden hue to his skin, bleach golden hair a lighter shade.
That's where he was now, his eyes closed as he snuggled down into the sand, head pillowed by his folded arms. The tide played with his toes, and soon he'd have to move, but not yet, not while he felt this good. Maybe he'd go find Bones and they could make up some dinner, tease each other until they collapsed into bed together.
Sounded like a damn fine day to him.
This was a good time for everyone. His crew got the chance to unwind, to not be their career for just a few weeks and instead be people. Spend some of the money they couldn't for the their five year mission. Hard to believe they were over a year into it, now. A year since he and Bones got together, and despite the bad... wouldn't have taken back that year for anything.
Definitely would prove that to Bones tonight.

Dinner was delicious. Bones tucked in and started devouring his meal, the two of them spending the first few minutes in silence as they ate, the occasional grunt of them chewing breaking the silence. Finally, Bones wiped his mouth with a napkin. "...'s good, Jim, real good."

It had to cost Jim a fortune.
The idea of the enormity of that gift overwhelmed him, and as he leaned back in his chair, he looked out at the water and back at Jim, unable to speak but feeling content and loved.

Besides, it was a gift to himself as much as it was to Bones. This, unlike any place on Earth, felt like home. It was small, just big enough for the two of them to live comfortably, and everything inside was neat, clean, simple, but had an air of luxury in the softness of fabrics, the grain of wood, the texture of stone. Jim couldn't have approved more.
"Couldn't eat another bite," Jim said with a rub of his stomach, stretching backwards over the back of his seat. "Think we need to go shopping if we're gonna have a party here tomorrow?" He closed his eyes, trying to remember everything in the fridge. "We don't have any liquor at all I noticed."

"Yeah, probably," he agreed. "Pick up some more food, too." Bones didn't use a replicator on a planet unless he had to, didn't make sense with so much good real food around. "You know," he stood and grabbed the tin of cookies that Jim had brought with them, "I'm really looking forward to this. Hope they can come," he added, chewing on a cookies before dropping them on the table in front of Jim. Standing there, wearing only a pair of jeans, he rubbed at his extended food belly. "Damn, that was good. Probably need to walk up that mountain instead of riding up it on a cycle."

Then he buried his face against the little bit of pudge. "This can stay."

Jim's face, fuck, he had no idea how those little facial expressions undid him every damn time. His hand rested on Jim's head, fingers playing with his hair. "Maybe you haven't seen my- " Bones paused, hesitating at his inability to label what Jim was to him. Partner? Lover? Boyfriend? All those seemed unsuitable for one reason or another. "...my captain. I gotta stay in shape, you know, to keep up with him."
no subject
"You're in the perfect shape for him. It's the exact shape he likes his doctors in. At least his chief ones." He smirked, reaching around and squeezing what was his. "Specially this part. I happen to know he really likes this shaped ass right here."

Alley cat, that's what he used to call Jim, back in the days when Jim showed up in his room when he needed food and medical care. Lean and wary and skittish, Bones used to wonder what would happen to that kid.
Now he couldn't live without him. "We better get going," Bones told him, hands holding Jim's shoulders, neck, head, anything he could touch and caress. "Or I'm gonna drag you into that bedroom."

Remembering the feeling of Jim sliding inside him, filling him up and open, first time anyone had done that to him. Kissing Jim's temple, he sighed, a little smile on his face.

Why that mattered to him, Leonard had no idea, but that one thing, that belonged to Jim and no one else. "I'll get it," he said, another squeeze before he pulled back. "Gotta get dressed, I guess," he chuckled, wondering where he'd kicked off his shoes.
They spent most of their time here sans clothes.

How quickly they forgot.

"Hey beautiful."

It was a gorgeous cycle, even someone as uncultured in motorcycles could see that it was quality. Despite the availability of hovercycles, the purist in Jim seemed to prefer the wheeled cycles, and Bones appreciated it. The feel of the ground below him gave him a sense of security - at least until Jim started driving at break-neck speeds.
Yet here he was, climbing on the back of Jim's bike. "You got an idea where we're going?"

They had to pass the town before they could head out toward the mountains, and Bones could see the town's residents and tourists making the change from afternoon activities to night time outings. It really was a magnet for all sorts of species, humanoids (and others).

They went past some beautiful country as the sun started setting, bathing the whole world in crimson. Jim only flicked on the headlight when he couldn't see anymore, driving deeper and deeper along the solitary road.

Jim's body was warm, and Bones pulled himself closer. Being here, the smell o the trees and curve of the road filled his head with memories, the best memories. He let his hands slide up and down Jim's torso and he playfully pinched a nipple again as his teeth grazed the back of Jim's neck.
"Feel so good," he murmured into Jim's skin, rubbing himself against Jim's backside.

Then the canopy broke above them, leaving the stars spread out wide above them. Jim took it as a sign, bringing the cycle to the side of the road and just idling there, tightening his thighs.

He breathed a sigh of relief when Jim stopped driving. His hands reached around and found Jim's face, twisting his body until he found Jim's mouth and kissed him, deep.

"Want you... in me... now," he murmured, licking at the inside of Jim's mouth. He was so hard now, putting himself in Jim's hands, whatever Jim wanted to do to him.
