[Spending Time Together] -- [Jim and Bones] -- [Risa]
Jim was a beach bum, or at least, he was while he was on Risa. He spend as much time as he could in the sun on the beach, spread out in the sand and nuzzled into a towel or ignoring wet sand against his back from a swim in the ocean. It was like trying to rapidly get as much as possible, soaking it up into his skin so it would last as long as possible when he went back up into space. Even if he couldn't tan properly like he had mentioned to Jana, at least he could get a golden hue to his skin, bleach golden hair a lighter shade.
That's where he was now, his eyes closed as he snuggled down into the sand, head pillowed by his folded arms. The tide played with his toes, and soon he'd have to move, but not yet, not while he felt this good. Maybe he'd go find Bones and they could make up some dinner, tease each other until they collapsed into bed together.
Sounded like a damn fine day to him.
This was a good time for everyone. His crew got the chance to unwind, to not be their career for just a few weeks and instead be people. Spend some of the money they couldn't for the their five year mission. Hard to believe they were over a year into it, now. A year since he and Bones got together, and despite the bad... wouldn't have taken back that year for anything.
Definitely would prove that to Bones tonight.

Only important thing right now was getting down to the beach and being with Jim.

"Fall asleep out here?" he asked as he stretched out next to Jim, his voice tinged with affection rather than concern - the rays of this sun would have no negative affect on any of them.

Bones leaned over and brushed their lips together in a gentle kiss. "Had a couple things to get before we go camping, too." Wasn't Christmas to him unless they were off somewhere on their own, and nothing was going to keep that from happening this year.

Leaning into Jim's fingers, he made a satisfied groaning sound. "Damn you know just how to do that," he murmured, his eyes closing. He hoped Jim liked his gift, tucked away inside the house, hopefully hidden away. It had taken too many hours looking and thinking and deciding on something for Jim, but in the end he hoped it was the right one.

Fuck, he was a handsome guy. Why the hell was he here on a beach with some old grump like Leonard McCoy? Should be out there, having fun on this pleasure planet. "What do owe you for this?"
no subject
He was having fun. His definition of fun.. just changed a little since they decided to get together. "Sound like a good deal?"
no subject
Rolling over onto his back, he pulled Jim on top of him, his fingers brushing the sand off Jim's skin. He kept the kiss up, slow slide of their tongues offering each other infinite promises, so much better than words ever could.

Maybe it was being here, the two of them so isolated and alone. Jim couldn't have missed seeing all that the pleasure planet had to offer. He'd have understood it if Jim decided at some point he wanted more. Wouldn't have liked it one damn bit, but knowing Jim, it wouldn't have been a huge surprise.

"What is it?" Jim asked quietly, his playful expression turning back to confusion.

Jim looked worried now, and that wasn't what he wanted, his insecurities to be shared with Jim. "Guess some days I wake up and can't believe my luck," he told Jim, looking all around his face before settling on his eyes, watching himself reflected back in them.

Another thrust up. Fuck, he could feel Jim's ass grinding on him, so one hand reached down his stomach and began pulling at his jeans, opening them. "Glad you wanna be here, though," he spoke into Jim's mouth, pulling on his bottom lip as he tugged his pants down.
no subject
He smiled lazily against Bones' mouth, reaching down and helping to work those jeans off. "...nude Bones is a happy Jim."

Sun above them, sand beneath them, it felt wonderful, and laying there, Jim in his arms, a selfish part of Bones wanted to lay here like this forever. He closed his eyes and smiled to himself. "This was a good idea." All of it.
no subject
"What do you think about grilling up some steaks and stuff, then going for a sunset ride up into the mountains? We could watch the stars from up there... just need a blanket or two."
no subject
That reminded him... "Hey Jim, how do you feel about inviting some friends over here one day before we leave?" He turned over onto one side, so he could see Jim's face. "I ran into Chris Pine in town, and I dunno, just had this image in my head of a few of us hanging out here, little fire on the beach, dinner, maybe some cards."
no subject
"That sounds perfect. Maybe tomorrow night or something?" It had been too long since he had a chance to hang out with them. "The three actors, I'm guessing? Anyone else you had in mind?"
no subject
Anyone else? He propped himself up on one elbow. "Well, I hadn't thought about it, but - I guess we could invite anyone you wanted."
Bones leaned in, kissing Jim softly. Yeah, he understood. Dinner could wait.
no subject
Mm, that was a nice thought. "Unless you're planning on more." A teasing brow waggle.

It was their own little secret for now, and part of Bones loved that, a place just for them. But another part of him was so fucking proud of it, their home. Jim's beautiful gift to him.
