[Spending Time Together] -- [Jim and Bones] -- [Risa]
Jim was a beach bum, or at least, he was while he was on Risa. He spend as much time as he could in the sun on the beach, spread out in the sand and nuzzled into a towel or ignoring wet sand against his back from a swim in the ocean. It was like trying to rapidly get as much as possible, soaking it up into his skin so it would last as long as possible when he went back up into space. Even if he couldn't tan properly like he had mentioned to Jana, at least he could get a golden hue to his skin, bleach golden hair a lighter shade.
That's where he was now, his eyes closed as he snuggled down into the sand, head pillowed by his folded arms. The tide played with his toes, and soon he'd have to move, but not yet, not while he felt this good. Maybe he'd go find Bones and they could make up some dinner, tease each other until they collapsed into bed together.
Sounded like a damn fine day to him.
This was a good time for everyone. His crew got the chance to unwind, to not be their career for just a few weeks and instead be people. Spend some of the money they couldn't for the their five year mission. Hard to believe they were over a year into it, now. A year since he and Bones got together, and despite the bad... wouldn't have taken back that year for anything.
Definitely would prove that to Bones tonight.

The water washed over them both, washing away some of the mess almost as soon as it was made.

"There must be something in the water," he said, reaching up to touch Jim's chest, taut pectoral muscles. Fucking perfect. "I shouldn't be this exhausted. Maybe I'm getting old." he mused, tweaking a nipple.

"You can use the grill if I can drive the bike."

"I will let you touch my grill, if you think you can handle it," he murmured, nuzzling into Jim's neck.

His hand reached down to cup Jim's cock and balls. "These are very precious to me. You gotta have some shorts on Jim, please. For me," he said, a grin spreading on his face as he have them a squeeze. "Gotta admit, be nice to have you make me dinner."

Bones loved the corn here.
"And maybe some of those cookies you picked up the other day?"
Bones loved the cookies here too.

"One salad, coming up." They headed toward the house, drying off with the fluffy white towels that permanently lived on the deck now. "So, you serious about having the guys over tomorrow?" he asked, toweling off his hair.

Once clothed, he dove into the fridge to pull out the steaks, and then went to get the grill lit. They had yet to even touch the stove.

Standing behind Jim, Bones wrapped his arms around him. "Thank you."

"Clean?! Come on now... they won't care about the whip in the bedroom!"

It took no time to put the salad together, so Bones started chopping and slicing, getting it the way he liked it with lots of tomatoes and some sweet pepper-like fruit that he only ever found on this planet. Damn if it didn't taste good in a salad. "It's not the bedroom I'm worried about, Captain." One glance into the living area showed the sofa pillows on the floor where they left them from last night.
No doubt the lube was still around there, too.

"No matter what they find, they're not going to be surprised you know. I mean, it's us." He looked over his shoulder at Bones with a teasing leer.

Just a couple words that encapsulated so much. Was a time when Bones thought he'd never be part of an us again, would never want to tie himself like that again. Too much hurt, the drama, the pain when it all came tumbling down and broke apart.
But he'd found himself an 'us' that worked, with Jim Kirk, no less - and he wasn't ever going to let go of this one. A little snort to mask the semi-deep thoughts swimming in his head. "What do you think people think of us?" he wondered aloud as he started mixing together a pitcher of sweet tea, more curious than anything.

The two of them as a couple. For all he acted like he didn't care about the opinion of others, Bones was ridiculously nosy about things like that.

But of course there had to be some gossip. "I guess I just hope they see two guys that are together, really together." He gave Jim a squeeze, wishing he could make all the jealous feelings go away. "Keep the others from hitting on you," he murmured into Jim's ear.

The smell of the meat filled his nose and he groaned, both at the taste of Jim on his tongue and the food in the air. "So, we're gonna have the guys over tomorrow. Ready to go camping day after that?"
