If Spock had his own body, he would have woken the moment Jim entered the room, at the very latest when Jim came close and began speaking to Leonard. Unfortunately, he was both human and tired, and slept through most of their touches.
But his mind could still feel it, and it was enough to rouse him. His movements were sleepy, slow, and instinctive. His lips barely touched against Leonard's shoulder blades, and his fingertips rested against his side (but were creeping lower, over his hip). Spock could feel that they were already pressed close, and the expanse of skin was nice to feel even if it lacked the connection he was used to. He had all the connection he needed right at the back of his mind.
