[We Interrupt Your Usual RP to Bring You... International Talk Like a Pirate Day!]
It was morning on the Enterprise, and it came with the slow creaking of wood deck around him, swelling in the heat of the morning, the sound of waves against the sides of the ship. Definitely a damn good way to wake up.
Even better was waking up between two warm bodies, one pressed to either side of him. On one side was his cabin boy, a young buck with a foolish head but a pleasing face and tongue. On the other, his first mate, a smug, stoic, uptight, ridiculously intelligent bastard who he had finally talked into ...sharing his bed. At least in the physical sense. He'd won the argument that the captain's bed was the most comfortable place on the ship, but anything beyond that was met with a pointed look and a reach for the sword hilt.
It was a damn good life here on the Enterprise.
He was Captain James T. Kirk of the pirate ship Enterprise, the most feared name on the open seas. He ran his crew with a mixture of charm, command, and the point of his sword. He was a good swordsman, a better brawler, and decent with a flint lock.

Announcing Garrovick's Death
She left the surgery and came onto the deck, taking a moment for herself to enjoy the fresh salt-tinged air which came as such a relief after the heavy scent of blood and rot and bodily waste. And then she steeled herself, and rang the ship's bell firmly to draw the crew's attention.
"Captain Garrovick is dead," she called out.
And then, as people began to turn to one another, muttering urgently, already finalizing their plots, she retreated back belowdecks to the dubious safety of her blood-soaked hellhole.
Re: Announcing Garrovick's Death
She leaped atop a barrel and yelled to get everyone’s attention. Being direct was the best way. “Shipmates, I wish to put m’self forward for the position of Keptin-” She ignored the pointed sniggers at her pronunciation but soldiered on despite the whispers “ I all ready hawe a good idea of where to get our hands on some booty.” To illustrate her point she waved her furled map above her head.
“I am no dumb wench, ye all know that I have serwed this ship well for the past fiwe years and I am a fair woman. Trust me to become Keptin and I shan’t fail you.” She finished. Best to throw her hat in the ring first thing and show the crew that she was fearless, though it couldn’t have been further from the truth, she was absolutely terrified. Not only for herself but for her girls, she would do anything to protect them even if that meant putting her own life on the line.
Re: Announcing Garrovick's Death
"'m behind ye Captain, where's this booty?" She called, leaning against the railing.
Re: Announcing Garrovick's Death
“Ewer heard of the Isla del Risa? There is a cawe on the Northern peak that is rumoured to hawe enough gold and treasures for a queen. D’finitely enough that eweryone get’s their share.” She informed Winona loudly enough for the entire crew to hear.
Re: Announcing Garrovick's Death
"Aye, Captain, I've heard of it. What are we waiting for?"
Re: Announcing Garrovick's Death
"We should be on our way, then. All hands to their stations!" The girl commented as she moved towards the helm, her own station. She wasn't about to let someone mess up her beautifuly organised maps and drawing now was she?
The newly appointed Captain ran her hand reverently over the giant wheel, looked over her shoulder for deckhand floating about and assured herself there where no other people. She copied the motions of what she had often seen the old Captain do and whispered "It is nice to be equals with ye at long last lass. Please look after us me beauty." Pasha finnished by patting the wheel and yanking her compas from her belt, she wouldn't get anything done just by standing gossiping with the her ship.
Re: Announcing Garrovick's Death
"Well that was damn quick! Too quick...make sure you watch your back...that is, when I cant." And pulling her to her, she gave her a not so innocent kiss, hand finding her backside and lingering there. She was going to be damn sure everyone knew where she stood, so let them stare. Her woman was Captain and anyone that didn't like it wouldn't make it down to let Meira close them up.

Pulling out her brass spyglass she smiled, turning to scanning the horizon and searching for whatever she could see.
She'd go tell Meira soon, but not yet, she really was a bit reluctant to leave, her adrenaline was pumping in a delicious way, and she didn't quite want to leave her on her own yet. She was fully aware Pasha could take care of herself (actually having been on the wrong end of it during a spat or two) but she didn't have to leave her to do it alone.

"Moreau, I forget how long hawe you been aboard again?" She questioned.

Re: Announcing Garrovick's Death
She felt that Marlena was a sensible choice as First mate, yet another strong woman aboard that people admired. Having a driving force such as her on the younger woman's side would work to great adavatage for the ship.

Re: Announcing Garrovick's Death
She turned on her heel and yelled orders to the deckhands as she moved back towards her wheel. "Weigh the Anchor, Heave to the East. C'mon get mowing or the treasure will aye be gone by the time we get there!"
Re: Announcing Garrovick's Death
Turning to Pasha, "I'm going to find Meira and Tina and let them know. Any other message to relay?"
