He could care less how romantic Jim made his words. Half of it he wasn't hearing but feeling, not so much the words but the tone, encouraging and kind. At Jim's suggestion, Spock squeezed and was met with more feeling than he expected. His body squirmed again on Jim's lap, and when he finally settled, he beckoned, "Continue." He didn't stutter on the initial consonant.
