Paula pressed the cloth over the cut on her hand. She'd been chopping vegetables for dinner when she was jostled by a couple of ensigns rounding the corner, looking for a place to neck. She didn't think it was all that serious, but had been sent to sickbay just the same with orders not to return until she'd done something about her crush on Dr. McCoy.

She paused just inside the door of the mostly-deserted sickbay, looking around.

"Doctor?"
