[We Interrupt Your Usual RP to Bring You... International Talk Like a Pirate Day!]

It was morning on the Enterprise, and it came with the slow creaking of wood deck around him, swelling in the heat of the morning, the sound of waves against the sides of the ship. Definitely a damn good way to wake up.

Even better was waking up between two warm bodies, one pressed to either side of him. On one side was his cabin boy, a young buck with a foolish head but a pleasing face and tongue. On the other, his first mate, a smug, stoic, uptight, ridiculously intelligent bastard who he had finally talked into ...sharing his bed. At least in the physical sense. He'd won the argument that the captain's bed was the most comfortable place on the ship, but anything beyond that was met with a pointed look and a reach for the sword hilt.

It was a damn good life here on the Enterprise.

He was Captain James T. Kirk of the pirate ship Enterprise, the most feared name on the open seas. He ran his crew with a mixture of charm, command, and the point of his sword. He was a good swordsman, a better brawler, and decent with a flint lock.

[OOC: This will be the ONLY pirate thread everyone, no multiple posts on multiple journals! Post just in here for this! Today only!]

Heh... of there was anything that Bones had on him regularly it was rum. He offered the injured man some of his flask - medicinal, he reminded himself, making sure it was just a few sips, enough to wet the mouth and prepare the other man for the trip back up the beach.

Good that they'd brought some strong backs with them to carry this one. He'd never make it under his own power.

"What is your name, sailor?" he asked, pulling out some salve to apply to the worst of the burns. He'd need more, but the rest of his stores were back on board the Kalon Kakon.

George growled slightly when the rum was taken away. "Captain George Samuel Kirk of the Pirate Ship Kelvin." He struggled to stand up, but between being tied, and his general state of health, he just kind of listed to the side, falling down with an oomph.

Bones looked over at the ropes. Giving his captain a snarl, he cut them off with a knife from his boot.

The name makes Bones stop. Kirk? Kelvin? This time the look he gave his captain, as he helped the injured man to standing, was more complicated, for only a few people knew the story behind Captain Sam. And Bones was one of those people.

Was this really George Kirk? And what did Sam have planned for... his father.

With the various crewmen brought along busy plucking all of the ripe mangoes from the tree and putting them into sacks, Sam turned his attention back to George and Bones.

"How long do you think he has?"

[identity profile] dctr-mccoy.livejournal.com 2009-09-19 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
Bones shrugged. "Five, maybe six... decades," he muttered sarcastically, looking over at Captain Sam as he directed the others to carry George. "Broken ribs, some abrasions... but there's nothing wrong with him that food and rest won't fix," he told him, eyes narrowing.

George glared at them both as he slowly got to his feet. "More rum?" The blond kid looked awfully familiar...he wasn't sure why. Maybe he knew him? "Do I know you?"

"I dunno, maybe." Sam waved to the crewmen to carry George off to the beach. He placed at hand on Bones's shoulder to stop and watched the crewmen carry George up to the top of the hill.

"I'm glad we found him in one piece. He'll fetch a good price." Sam kissed Bones on the cheek and pulled out a pocket knife. "Mango?" he offered.

McCoy nodded, not so gruff when no one else was around. Taking the fruit, he enjoyed its sweetness, closing his eyes for a moment before speaking. "He's your dad, Sam," he said. "You aren't really going to random him, are you?" he asked curiously.

"I may sound like a cold hearted bastard for saying this... but yes, I am going to ransom him, and I'm going to make enough to buy us that island." Sam slipped a slice of mango into his mouth and smiled at Bones as he chewed.

Bones shook his head, and chuckled. "You are a cold-hearted bastard," he told him, pausing long enough to lean in give him a quick kiss. "We'd best hurry if we're going to have the tide with us, Captain."

[identity profile] dreadpiratekirk.livejournal.com 2009-09-19 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
Sam plucked one last mango from the tree and hooked an arm around Bones's waist.

"Let's be going then."
