Well, that was coming as a surprise. Kirk's brows shot up, but the more he thought about it, the more sense it made. He focused on Jim again, "That's just something we'll have to focus on. How this works, at least in my head, is you'd still be his commanding officer, and as long as Spock or I aren't on duty, the highest level one around. Still who he'd be reporting to... but us as well. So technically under this new... guideline? regiment? whatever... he should be reporting to you like he would me."
