It didn't take a genius to figure out what was going on in that head of his. Bones knew that Kirk was as new to all of this as he was, even more scared maybe, given his history of people leaving him. The last thing he wanted this morning was to be sad or worried about the future. Despite their potenial issues, things had never looked brighter.
