[Interrogations in the Brig]
[OOC: Happening sometime after the talk with Mr. Spock, but happening at the same time for time's sake. XD]
Kirk waited just outside of the hallway of the brig, talking with the guard on watch quietly. He didn't want the people down in the brig proper to know he was there. They had sound and cameras ready to go, so Kirk could listen in and watch on each cell, its occupant, and who they were talking to.
This was not something he was looking forward to, but he had information to work with now. Information against at least one very dangerous person, and one possibly less so.

Private Communication to Commander Spock
I need you to come down to the brig and talk with the other Pike, like we discussed. Don't look at me, don't talk to me, just go in like you were slipping down there to talk to him. The guards already know and will leave when you dismiss them with the same protest as last time. Don't let him know I'm watching what's happening. I want to see what's going to happen.
I need you to talk to Marlena as well. Probably should talk to her first, actually.

Sadly, Spock only got as far as blindly fisting one hand in Jim's gold command shirt before his mind screamed at him that it wanted just a second or two more to recover without anything moving, please, if he didn't mind. He kept his eyes closed. "If you can recall, Captain," Something was pressing at his temples and he didn't like the sensation at all. His voice was soft and strained. "I was...unharmed, until now."

Kirk knew he was rambling but just didn't give a shit. He'd been wrong. Wrong about all of this. Wrong about thinking Spock was okay enough to come back down here. Wrong about thinking they could do this. Wrong about Spock not lying to him, about Spock being a traitor to him...

So much he couldn't say aloud. That he wanted to protect Spock from that bastard even if he knew Spock was their best chance of getting information.

Fuck.
Fuck. How could Spock suddenly make him feel guilty of all things? Kirk released him completely and stepped back, looking away. "Dammit, Spock." He whispered, the adrenaline draining out of him so rapidly he thought he would fall over.

"I do not intend to lie to you about anything," He began, still keeping his voice quiet, between them. "But you must allow me to speak, first."

"...go on." Kirk said finally, his voice a little rough from his yelling.

Kirk hesitated, looking away for a moment, before saying quietly, "...I could tell them what I've seen, and what I was told... with only some minimal help from you. How about that?"

Yes. A cold pack. He would retrieve one from sickbay and then meditate, now that there was finally time to do so.
